# Sending an invitation

> Sends the invitation email: the QR code that signs them in on arrival,
the calendar item, the wallet pass and the pre-registration link —
whichever the visit type is configured to include.

Send the object you got back when you created the record. `_id` is
required: the QR code and the pre-registration link are derived from it,
so an invitation for an id that does not exist produces a mail whose QR
code signs nobody in.

Locations on a trial are capped at 10 invitations.

Read and write your Vizito visitor data over HTTPS.

Every endpoint takes and returns JSON, and is authenticated with an API key
created by a global admin on the Integrations page of the Backoffice.

Almost every endpoint names a **location** — `company_id` in the API. Your
key is pinned to a set of locations; naming one outside that set is refused
with `403`. Start at `GET /companiesList`, the one endpoint that needs no
    location id.
