Replaces the location’s external host list with what you send. The previous external set is deleted first, so this is a full sync rather than a merge — the right model when your HR system or directory is the source of truth.
One upload per location per 24 hours. A second call inside that window answers 200 { "hosts_imported": 0 } and changes nothing — it does not report an error. Schedule this as a nightly job, not as a per-change hook.
Hosts uploaded this way are marked external: true. They work on the kiosk exactly like managed hosts, but they do not appear in Listing hosts.
